Senior ML Research Engineer (Craft Lead) - Creative Play

As a Senior Machine Learning Engineer and Craft lead at Embark you will be a game maker, using machine learning to create new ways to enhance experiences in interactive entertainment.

In this role you'll be spending time researching new experiences no-one ever have heard of, side by side with building intelligent tools and artificial intelligence systems.

To thrive in this project and at Embark you are senior as a problem solver and you love to share your learnings with others.

As a person you are a mentor by heart and your collaboration skills are fully tuned after quite some time as a leader of complex projects in the industry. You know how to support peers all around the world and you feel fulfilled only when those team members are safe, included and motivated.

In this role you will collaborate closely with the rest of the team and the studio; you will not only be a part of Embarks mission to build that enhanced game experience that we today only can imagine, you will also be part of building a team which are working within areas yet to be explored.

Example of responsibilities

- Make sure team members feel safe, happy and on track
- Recruiting and onboarding new colleagues
- Having regular 1:1ns, make sure people feel seen and listened to
- Long-term career development of colleagues, coaching and salary reviews

- Implement working applications from ML methods described in the literature
- Create ML-based tools to simplify and amplify game development
- Collaborate with designers, content creators and gameplay software engineers
- Stay current with new research and share that knowledge with the rest of the team

We would love if you have

- A creative and curious mind passionate about machine learning
- Several years of experience as a Machine Learning Engineer
- Experience from the game industry or other types of interactive experiences
- Solid experience with Python, and common ML frameworks
- Leadership experience from complex projects, and remote teams
- Professional English communication skills
