Are you interested in taking part in developing an award-winning tech startup on the mission of solving inequality within creative industries? We are blankt and we are now looking for an experienced software developer to become a part of our core (dream) team.

About blankt

The idea of blankt originated from a bittersweet compromise that was made between the desired motif and desired colors while buying posters. Starting small, the idea ended up with us wanting to solve inequality within creative industries. We do this with a platform that helps creatives be able to make ends meet. At the same time, we lower the barrier for investments within the sector.

Even though we just went live, we’ve still achieved great things during our few months that make the blankt team very excited about our future. Some of them are:

• More than 1 million SEK in grants
• Central office spaces, counseling from a “Big Four” company and other prices that came from winning “The best young business idea” of Solna, Stockholm.
• Early-stage investment by one of the leading entrepreneurs of Europe as well as ongoing talks with international VC firms.
• Getting selected in November 2021 for one of the most prestigious incubator programs in Sweden: the KTH Incubator Program.

About the role:

At blankt, we strongly believe in “best ideas win” so forget about hierarchies.

We also believe in freedom with responsibility so forget about micro-management.

Did we mention that we like quick decision-making? Otherwise sorry, we are not good with formalities (did you see what we did there?).

In this role, you will be given the opportunity to tackle a wide range of technical challenges by joining a small team consisting of passionate groundbreakers driven by the ambition to develop the next big thing. Some of your responsibilities will be to help build applications that are pushing the boundaries of great design and awesome user friendliness. You will contribute in the design process and translate designs into code, and much more. Lastly, please note this is a full-time, permanent position.

Skills & Requirements

Strong Javascript skills and working with React, CSS and HTML.

Working experience with source control tools such as Git.

Experience with deploying on Public Cloud Providers such as AWS or Azure, fetching data from backend APIs.

Great communication skills and comfortable working in flexible teams.

In addition, you would earn extra points if you have experience with:

• TypeScript
• Testing tools such as Jest and Cypress
