Role of Backend Engineer in Stockholm

We are currently looking for passionate experienced and result-oriented candidates for the role of a Backend Engineer with a professional background and exemplary concepts to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:

On a daily basis, you will do things like:

• Creating and maintaining a scalable distributed financial services platform.
• Be a part of a long-lasting autonomous team with a distinct product/service portfolio.
• Product/service portfolio full life cycle management
• Continuously assess emerging technologies and services in order to remain relevant in our offering.
• Promote technological innovation and collaborate with our product team to improve our platform.

Education, Expertise, and experience requirements:

Competency prerequisites for the applicant:

• Have worked with distributed systems in a cloud environment (GCP).
• Have prior experience working in a regulated environment with high volume transactions.
• Thrive in an environment where knowledge sharing and mentoring are an expected part of the job.
• Have prior experience with Java and the Spring Boot framework, as well as other DI frameworks and NoSql.
• Have knowledge of Kafka, JUnit, and Mockito.
• Have seen the benefits of Continuous Delivery and understand how to get there.
• Candidates with fintech/startup/new financial offering development experience are preferred.
• GCP (Google Cloud Platform) with services primarily built in Java 11 and Java 17, currently high usage of GigaSpaces and exploration of other stacks. They also use gRPC internally and expose RestAPI to the outside world.
• They have made available to the public their initial B2C products in GCP, and they are about to release a slew of new Banking as a Service (BaaS) products based on their Banking Platform.

Language Requirements: Mastery of English & Swedish language

in both speech and writing is required.
