We are currently looking for passionate experienced and result-oriented candidates for the role of a Backend Engineer Java with a professional background and exemplary concepts to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Backend Engineer for the Banking as a Service Platform, you will be responsible for:

• Creating and maintaining a scalable distributed financial services platform.
• Work in a long-running autonomous team with a well-defined product/service portfolio.
• Product/service portfolio life cycle management in its entirety.
• To remain relevant in our offering, we constantly evaluate emerging technologies and services.
• Drive technological innovation and collaborate with our product team to improve our platform.

Education, Expertise, and experience requirements:

Competency prerequisites for the applicant:

• In general, candidates with experience in fintech/startups/new financial offering development are the most appealing.
• Have worked with distributed systems in a cloud environment (The company uses GCP).
• Have prior experience working in a regulated environment with high volume transactions.
• Thrive in an environment where knowledge sharing and mentoring are an expected part of the job.
• Have knowledge of Java and the Spring Boot framework, as well as other DI frameworks and NoSQL.
• Have knowledge of Kafka, JUnit, and Mockito.
• Have seen the benefits of Continuous Delivery and understand how to get there.
• The company's technology stack is entirely built on GCP (Google Cloud Platform), with services primarily built in Java 11 and Java 17, with GigaSpaces currently being heavily used, and they are exploring other stacks.
• They also use gRPC internally and expose RestAPI to the outside world. They have made available to the public their initial B2C products in GCP, and they are about to release a slew of new Banking as a Service (BaaS) products based on their Banking Platform.
