Ericsson is investing in future generation of RAN, implementing it using Cloud and AI technologies, CloudRAN.

Ericsson Global AI Accelerator (GAIA) is a unit that has been set up to accelerate our AI and Machine Learning offerings. This central unit is chartered with the responsibility of building a high-end competence centre that brings together a team of high-end Data Scientists, Data Engineers, Software Engineers and Machine Learning Architects towards the goal of enhancing Ericsson’s products and services portfolio with AI capabilities.

GAIA AI Hub Sweden is focused on development of models, ML pipelines, and frameworks where we together with BNEW push the technology frontiers to secure Ericsson continued leadership in RAN.

We work closely together with BNEW CloudRAN development unit to enhance observability, add AI frameworks and extend CloudRAN products to natively support and use AI and Cloud. Skilled software engineering, combined with Cloud, AI and RAN knowhow is a success factor.

GAIA is now hiring several skilled Software Engineer to expand its AI Hub Sweden team in CloudRAN area.

We're looking for experienced and skilled software engineers to join our Stockholm-based team. We build complex and compelling cloud native AI applications for Ericsson CloudRAN solution. You will join a team of passionate CloudRAN AI professionals who've come from all over the world to build some amazing AI in RAN together.

We're looking for curious, collaborative people who jump at an opportunity to learn and to dive into new challenges, developing AI for our flagship CloudRAN product is one such channel.

Here's where you come in:

You'll join our cross-functional design teams in developing new Data, AI and ML enablers. Our software is currently written in Golang and Python and orchestrated with a very heavy dose of Kubernetes and opensource and Hyperscaler technologies.

The ideal candidate for this position will be excited to take responsibility for parts of our AI and ML applications as well as being a mentor for GAIA and PDU CloudRAN colleagues. As we build a lot of software, a good grasp of design patterns with clean structured coding is your trademark. You possess a great sense of responsibility, a hawk eye for detail and an interest in understanding the bigger picture.

Someone who has been successful at building scalable, maintainable, and extensible software or lean, mean real-time software is preferred. We understand that no engineer will have the exact technology competence we require but a willingness to cross train into modern and evolving AI and Cloud technologies is a must.

We want our CloudRAN AI professionals to work hard, support each other and walk away every day satisfied.

To achieve this we keep up with the latest technologies, tools, and tricks of the trade, we are continuously refining our approach, and everyone - including you - will have a seat at the table.

You will bring

Professional experience in Java, Python, Golang or C++ software development. Bonus points if you've been using any of the standard AI tools (Kubeflow, MLflow etc), it would be unbelievable if you have any Hyperscaler Platform AI or Cloud certifications.
