Senior Product Owner

As we are facing acquisition by Booking Holdings (parent company of Booking.com), we have a very exciting expansion ahead of us. From being one of the market leaders in our industry, we will most likely in near future most likely be owned by one of the 200 largest companies in the world, also the world's largest travel company. We are fine-tuning our Product owner team in order to make us fully equipped for the future.

As we are continuing to expand our own brands and strategic partnerships, we are on the lookout for a Product Owner with a Frontend focus and who is passionate about solving problems and improving the customer experience. You will be located at our office in Stockholm.

The role

As Product Owner you are responsible for maximizing the value of the product resulting from work of the Development Team, which means that you get the opportunity to drive projects and continuous product development from a business perspective. With an entrepreneurial mindset you are responsible for

• Project definition & breakdown (kick off, milestones, high level overview, user story map)
• Backlog management and business refinement also taking technical initiatives in to consideration based on input from IT
• Defining and following up on business dependencies
• Coordinating, steering and interacting with multiple stakeholders and facilitate a joint understanding by tailoring the language to the audience
• Follow up with stakeholder to provide feedback on deliveries, feature impact / revenue to dev team
• Taking a lead on long term product/domain plan and requirement assessment process
• Ensuring knowledge sharing throughout the organization and stakeholders are updated continuously with latest status.

Requirements

• You have a technical background and understand how a modern web based system works and have worked with React
• You have 5-6 years of professional experience, ideally in product owner roles or in a leading software role
• You have worked in an Agile world with Scrum and/or Kanban
• You are used to working closely with development teams, internal stakeholders and external partners and communicating business and user requirements, therefore having excellent communication skills
• You can communicate fluently in English (both written and verbal)
• You thrive when taking on new responsibilities and feel comfortable making decisions
• Ability to deliver a data driven approach with customer - first mindset.

Meritorious:

• Experience of working in documentation programs such as Atlassian, or prototype tools such as Figma
• You have somewhat of a UX/UI designer background (this role has close collaboration with our UX department).
