Senior Data Analyst - Hardware

Our data set is vast and complex, ranging from geospatial data, transaction data, operations data, scooter sensor data, and user and marketing data, and you will have an opportunity to work across all the above.

YOUR MISSION AT VOI

As Senior Data Analyst in the Hardware team, you will be responsible for delivering well-curated data, visualizations, and actionable insights that underpin all decisions of what Voi will focus on. This specific role will support Voi’s Hardware Business Unit (HBU) and as such you will own the most critical analyses of our IoT and vehicle sensor data in order to find out how it correlates with e.g. undesired user behavior. Starting from scratch with data analysis in HBU you will teach team members and work closely with stakeholders across Voi to set the process for data requests.

In HBU you will work alongside the Head of Hardware, product managers and engineering teams in a collaborative and cross-functional environment.

Problem areas that you will work on include rider safety, location accuracy, live dashboards for vehicle related data, correlation between IoT metrics and user feedback, predictive maintenance, battery optimization and life cycle analysis.

WHAT YOU’LL BE WORKING ON

- Evaluate problems and find their root cause using data analytics
- Optimize the table structure in Snowflake
- Extract, manipulate and visualize data to find and understand user and product performance patterns
- Clean data to develop features and signals in a vast, unordered data set
- Build action-oriented dashboards that enable teams to make data-driven decisions
- Present insights and recommendations to colleagues and managers
- Support product and tech teams in evaluation and definition of new features
- Enable data-driven ways of working and teach team members to apply these
- Stakeholder management, e.g. prioritizing projects depending on the business needs
- Identify gaps in current data and initiate tracking of lacking but relevant data.
- Support in identifying what future vehicle sensor data will allow Voi to develop new features and better insights

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO EMBARK

- A university degree in a relevant field (e.g. Mathematics, Statistics, Science, Engineering, Business)
- Professional work experience from data analytics and data visualization (e.g. in Tableau)
- Knowledge of tooling related to data processing, data modeling and cloud solutions. The tools we are use dbt, SQL, Airflow and Python but you can use any tool of your choice. We use the GCP suite as our cloud provider.
- Experience from coaching team members and support in complex cases
- Business interest and insight to contextualize problem-solving
- Ability and willingness to learn and adapt to a changing environment
- Professional working proficiency in English, Swedish is not required
- Proven experience from working with IoT and sensor data is a big plus.
