We do this to empower each business unit in an end-to-end ownership of their domain data.

We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join our Growth Business Unit, where we focus on all aspects of our customer journeys. You’ll be joining a small decentralized, motivated and cross-functional team with a high degree of autonomy. Together with the central Data Platform team you will also have dotted lines to other Data Engineers through our “data chapter”. As Data Engineer you will know your domain and can identify why and how your data needs to be processed. You will own and develop our data-pipeline and be the glue needed to bridge our business logic with our business analysis technologies. Avoiding data loss and ensuring data quality should be core to your thinking and methods.

WHAT YOU’LL BE WORKING ON

- Build at-scale ways of working with relevant automation, documentation, and data flows.
- Partner with both backend engineers, data analysts and data scientists to build data products that can be trusted, understood and used by the rest of the company.
- Work in cross-functional teams with end-to-end responsibility and delivery of our missions in growth marketing, pricing and payments.
- Creating and maintaining data pipeline architecture.
- Ensuring architecture will support business requirements.
- Build data models and ELT workloads.
- Identify, document and promote best practices and improving the quality of the internal data products.

QUALIFICATIONS

- You have a background as Data Engineer with focus on databases, data pipelines and general data processing technologies.
- You are a self starter, with a hands-on and collaborative working style.
- You understand data transport technologies suitable for ingestion at scale such as Spark, DataFlow, PubSub, Kafka.
- You have knowledge of tooling related to data processing, data modeling and cloud solutions. The tools we are use dbt, SQL, Airflow and Python but you can use any tool of you choice. We use the GCP suite as our cloud provider.
- You have experience working with Snowflake or similar data warehouse/data lake systems.
- You understand common data access patterns.
- If you enjoy building visualizations and interactive dashboards - it is a plus!
- You have ability and willingness to learn and adapt to a changing environment
- You have professional working proficiency in English.
