Genesys Contact Center as a Service solution is an information system that automates contact center day to day business for our customers.

We are looking for experienced Dev + DevOps engineer to join Digital team. The Digital team is part of Genesys Multicloud, it develops suite of applications that provide contact center functionality to work with digital channels, such as sms, chat, email, social, co-browse, etc. Digital is high priority area for Genesys.

You will be involved in Digital DevOps operations across AWS, GCP and Azure based solution for multiple Digital components. You will also be involved in development and bug fixing of Interaction Server (IXN).

IXN is runtime platform designed to work 24/7 and is relatively heavy loaded. All Genesys Digital products rely on IXN. It is deployed as part of public managed services to AWS, Azure, GCP clouds or on-premises/private cloud as K8s based deployment. IXN is developed with C++ and tested with C# based tests running on top of home brewed test harness. It works on top of MS SQL, Postgre SQL, Oracle DBs. It also includes java/groovy parts.

Successful Multi Cloud Software Engineers will:

  • Be proactive and learn to anticipate/handle software and system failures
  • Demonstrate a high level of curiosity and keep abreast of the latest technologies

Major Responsibilities/Activities:

  • Design, develop, and test features, functions and microservices that are highly scalable, available, and reliable
  • Stay current with industry developments and new trends
  • Recommend new technologies as components of a solution when appropriate
  • Take ownership of features beginning to end; from design documents and reviews to acceptance testing and deployment

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science in Software Engineering or equivalent
  • Upper intermediate English
  • 8+ years of experience in software engineering
  • 3+ years server-side development experience in C++
  • 2+ years of experience as DevOps
  • Experience with traditional RDBMS databases (we use PostgreSQL)
  • Experience with AWS, Azure or GCP console
  • Experience with Cloud Formation
  • Experience with Chef server - design recipes, libraries, basic Ruby programming
  • Experience with Python
  • Experience with Docker, K8s
  • Experience with Linux command line and bash
  • Experience with Git, JIRA (or equivalent)
  • Unit testing and automation experience

The ideal candidate would also have experience with:

  • Genesys Digital products is a big plus
  • Genesys Multi Cloud offering is a big plus
  • Genesys Interaction Server is a big plus
  • Helm
  • Terraform
  • All of C++, Python, Java (at least basic skills)
  • JavaScript, Node.js (at least basic skills)
  • Full cloud application lifecycle from development through deployment, operations and support
  • Working with open-source projects
  • Scalability and availability in distributed systems
  • Must have the right to work and reside in Sweden
