Job Description

Airmee is a well-capitalized start-up backed up by some of Sweden’s biggest investors that is looking for a site reliability engineer to manage the complex challenges of scale which are unique to Airmee, while using your expertise in coding, algorithms, complexity analysis and large-scale system design.

Airmee is one of Sweden's fastest growing logistics startups focusing on fast and convenient deliveries for retailers and other businesses. Our technology that optimizes our logistics fleet in real-time is based on our research at KTH and allows us to do this more cost-efficiently and environmentally sustainable than anyone else.

What're we looking for?

We're looking for a Site Reliability Engineer who ensures that Airmee's services-both our internally critical and our externally-visible systems-have reliability, uptime appropriate to users' needs and a fast rate of improvement. Additionally SRE’s will keep an ever-watchful eye on our systems capacity and performance. Much of our software development focuses on optimizing existing systems, building infrastructure and eliminating work through automation.

The work culture embeds DevOps best practices in the daily work for engineering and in data science teams, and you will be expanding the best practices to further increase reliability and to ensure adequate and sustainable incident response strategies.

You will be the first person to join the SRE team and will work together with the CTO and other engineers to build the Airmee SRE team. You should have considerable experience managing production environments as SRE, DevOps Engineer or similar.

Skills & Requirements

We believe that you have:

- Experience managing production environments as SRE, DevOps Engineer or similar.
- Experience working with SLOs, metrics, incident management in a cloud environment.
- Passion about reliability engineering practices.
- Curiosity to learn, explore and collaborate with those around you.
- Ability to debug, optimize code, and automate routine tasks.
- Understanding of Unix/Linux operating systems and containers.

It will be amazing if you also,

- Have a systematic problem-solving approach, coupled with effective communication skills and a sense of drive.
- Have experience with AWS monitoring, alarms and other DevOps / SRE centric tools
- Have experience with Bitbucket Pipelines and Docker
- Have experience setting up alarms and monitoring for Serverless based services
- Have strong programming skills in Python / Javascript as well as solid understanding of Bash
