UI Department Lead

As an UI Department Lead you will lead all UI crafts in professional development, organizational strategy, and distribution working beside DD’s. This will include UI Art, UX Design, UI Script, and UI/UX code.

You will be responsible for the process around onboarding, training and supporting outsourcing. Additionally you will be responsible for defining the correct shape for UI for current and future studio needs and working with DD’s and other disciplines to get the data to support that.

You will be responsible for building and maintaining a strong and positive culture and increase the overall health and wellbeing of members within the department.

This leader is consulted in team changes for their expertise and understanding of their staff but are not accountable or responsible for where staff end up as this is delegated to the DD craft

Qualifications

• Proved leadership experience with good results for product and working environment
• Demonstrates excellent leadership skills with an interest to combine cutting edge tech and process without losing sight of strong people values
• Works in a solution oriented manner and takes responsibility for driving positive change over time
• Track record of good communication skills with diplomatic, proactive problem solution approach. Ability to adapt communication to fit different situations, teams, individuals and needs
• Ability to mentor team leads to a more sustainable model that can grow and shrink with production demand
• Strong understanding of all parts of the UI/UX pipeline and expert knowledge of at least one area within the pipeline
• Experience building teams and understanding of different individuals different needs to thrive
