Frontend developer to Scania

Scania is currently undergoing an exciting transformation from a traditional truck manufacturer to a provider of complete sustainable transport solutions. IT is a crucial part of this transformation as Scania’s success is depending on flexible and efficient IT solutions that support current and future business requirements. We work in a Value flow organization where we together with Scania’s production, more specifically Powertrain production, help Scania in the transformation and accelerate digitalization.

You will be a part of Scania’s Support Production and Logistics IT which are supporting powertrain, engine, etc. We play a key role in the digitalization of the P&L landscape and work with future technologies. With new & potential use cases in the pipeline, we are currently looking for a new Frontend Developer for our department in Scania IT.

You will get to work with the latest technologies and continuously improve our processes and deliverables. IN ORDER TO SUCCEED IN THE ROLE, WE SEE THAT YOU HAVE EXPERIENCE IN

• Help and guide/lead the Team in the current technology stack, and future frontend technologies like Micro front-ends.
• Bring creativeness, new technology skills, and industry knowledge to our business with the Team. The main focus is to create a new modern & flexible front-end to Scania’s production with the lead words “easy to do right”.
• Make sure we think about the development cycle and enjoy creating well-written and clean code with the best customer value possible.
• The agile teams are self-organized and have a high level of interaction with the business with the help of the project members. We are two multicultural Teams with an Agile mindset, a helping culture that takes advantage of pair programming and dares to explore new ways of working and techniques. We do it in close cooperation with our business and end-users that are mainly located in Södertälje.

WHO ARE YOU

• You are a team player but are also capable of working independently. You have a proactive approach and excellent problem-solving skills, and you enjoy taking on new challenges. You have good communication skills and feel comfortable working closely with different groups within the business.
• You have extensive knowledge of web development technologies such as HTML5, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
• You have extensive knowledge and several years of experience in developing single-page front-end applications using frameworks such as Angular.
• You have a degree in computer science or similar.
• You are proficient in written and spoken English.
• A big plus if you have one or more of the following: AWS, RXJS, NodeJs, Restful APIs, Unit testing, SCSS, Azure DevOps, and Linux.
