About this opportunity

Business Area Networks is responsible for the company’s industry leading radio products and solutions and is the foundation for Ericsson’s technology leadership. In our Product Development Unit (PDU) we are approximately 2000 R&D professionals spanning R&D sites in Europe, Asia and North America. We are developing HW and SW modules that are part of Ericsson Radio System and are heavily involved in product development for 5G.

We are now looking for experienced developers to strengthen our Infra Software teams with deliveries in MS-RBS and Cloud RAN!

In this role you will be part of a highly proficient team of engineers responsible for developing solutions for 5G products in the Infra SW sector, such as Control System, Interconnect, Transport and Synchronization software solutions. We are now looking for developers to strengthen our teams primarily working with IP transport and FastPath technology. You will find many opportunities, and we encourage people to rotate team and learn new areas.

You will participate in all phases of the product development cycle – product definition, architecture, design, scoping, planning, implementation, and test.

We are looking for people with passion in software development who really want to make a difference and secure the 5G success with us!

What you will do

  • Develop solutions in the IP transport area for Ericsson Radio System Products in 5G
  • SW development in one or several languages like C, C++, Erlang, Java and Python.
  • Develop automated test cases and test suites, using JCAT and/or Erlang.
  • Maintenance of existing software, trouble report handling and support cases etc.
  • Be part of a XFT which has E2E feature responsibilities.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of products and processes.

You will bring

  • A degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, Engineering Physics or similar.
  • Experience as a developer and skills as a standout colleague.
  • Deep knowledge in any of the above-mentioned programming languages.
  • Good communication skills and proficiency in English
  • Knowledge in the Agile process and willingness to work in an Agile organization.
