Senior App Developer

We are currently in an era of the great powershift, from using fossil-fuel based energy to going green with hydro, wind and of course SOLAR. You can surely guess what Svea Solar are up to 😉
But we don’t want to be satisfied with “just” installing solar panels on roofs. We also want to give our customer an entire experience, with batteries, EV-charger and energy optimization which is our product offering we call “Solar as a Service”. And of course, it will all be controlled with our app!
So if you want to build a customer centric app, this is the job for you!

As we are writing this job ad, we are right at the start of our app. Today our customer can see how much electricity they get from the solar panels and how much they are selling to the grid. But like we said in the beginning, our app will do so much more. That is why we are looking for a Senior App Developer to join our app team, where you can use your knowledge together with your colleagues to create smart and user-friendly features!

The role:

As a Senior App Developer, you will work together with the other developers, QA’s, Technical Project Lead, PO and of course the Tech Lead in the team. Your job will be to develop the app, from our current stage, where it’s all about informing our customers on how they benefit from optimizing their electric usage, to actually optimize and last stage will be to help our customers manage their entire Solar as a service by only using the app.

Are we a good fit?

Our way of working is remote optional as we call it. Which means you work where you are the most productive, either at home or at the office. So, your closest colleagues will not always be working in the same room as you, but maybe you become used to that after the pandemic?
Other than being comfortable in our ways of working, we need an experienced developer who have worked with different apps and knows the challenges of working with a user-centric app.

Here is an overview of what we think is important to be a good fit for the role:

- Worked with development for at least 5 years
- Experience working with different apps in React Native
- Great with Typescript
- Communicative and a team player

Also, we think it’s really good if you have worked with other technologies such as Node.js or .NET
