Sigma Connectivity is a global design house developing products for leading international brands in a number of industries including traditional industry, telecom, automotive, logistics and more.

We have close to 500 highly experienced employees using our foundation from connectivity in the fast paced electronics industry to make the internet of things (IoT) happen.

We develop products and solutions for leading medical brands around the world pushing the boundaries of what is possible and creating new business values for our customers. There is now a unique opportunity to be part of and to help build the new software organization within the Medical Technologies Business Unit. You will be among the very first engineers and will have a key role in the direction the SW department within Medtech will take.

We are now looking for:

• Senior Embedded SW Engineers. You are a senior developer (5+ years experience), have the overall system view, know what works and what doesn´t work, understand the hardware connections as well as the different building blocks in an embedded system. You are good at explaining and appreciate close customer interaction. You have a strong interest in embedded development and are comfortable with many different embedded platforms and operating systems. For the right candidate, 5 years of working experience is not a hard requirement.

Basic qualifications

Important competence areas, not all required:

• Embedded C/C++
• Device Driver Development
• Real Time Operating Systems
• Open source development
• Configuration Management and Automatic build systems tools such as Git, Gerrit, Jenkins, Gitlab
• Connectivity standards like Bluetooth, Wifi, NFC, LTE
• Debuggers like Jlink, ST-Link, Lauterbach, Trace32
• Measuring Instruments like oscilloscopes and logic analyzers
• Security Related Areas - Keys, certificates, TLS/SSL
• Bringup of electronics hardware
• Bootloaders
• Embedded Linux & Yocto/buildroot

Preferred additional skills, personal traits, experience

• Communication with cloud with MQTT or REST
• Safety classified software and IEC 62304
