Our Exciting Opportunity

Product Development Unit Packet Core develops Mobile Core Network nodes with extraordinary, market leading functionality, designed for efficient, reliable and secure operations. The headquarters is based at Lindholmen (Gothenburg, Sweden) but we also have development in Shanghai, Beijing and Madrid. PDU Packet Core is responsible for the development of 5G functionality PCC (Packet Core Controller) and PCG (Packet Core Gateway).

We are currently expanding our team and therefore looking for a System Test lead that wanting to join Product release and Integration. In the Packet Core organization testing is done both by the cross-functional development teams, as well as dedicated teams performing extensive regression verification and system level testing. To be able to execute testing efficiently we strive for a high degree of automation in test environment for most of the test execution and parts of the analysis of test results. The new generation of our 5G products execute in a cloud-based environment.

You will

• join the technical leadership in our section in Lindholmen, where you will secure that we execute agreed test scope and always have a known test status that is visualized and communicated.
• ensure that we maximize the use of our capabilities and are continuously optimizing the way we work.
• focus on “Who and When” in the test flow.
• continuously seek new areas of improvements in the system test field and work on test automation.

We are looking for someone that

• puts attention to quality, has a passion for test planning and follow up
• enjoys working in teams and sharing knowledge with others
• has an energetic, positive “we can do it” attitude towards challenges, is curious and want to learn new skills!

To be successful in the role you must

• have BSc/MSc level in Computer Science or the equivalent level of knowledge
• be fluent in English, written and spoken
• deep understanding of Test Methodology and Test Automation
• ISTQB certification or equivalent
• be aware of Lean and Agile principles experience with Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment
• have experience in Test leading

Meriting for the role

• Understanding in our product PCC (PACKET CORE CONTROLLER ), 3GPP standards, and UNIX/LINUX
• Experience in script languages or Java
• Troubleshooting skillset in a complex environment
• Working as an Operational Product Owner (OPO)
• have 5+ years’ experience in Test leading

Key Tasks

• Planning, distributing and tracking of test scope across available teams.
• Secure transparency of test status to stakeholders.
• Provide input to Test Capability Plan.
• Provide input to Technical Test Coordinator (TTC), Program Manager (PM) and System Owner (SO) for PRG assessments. (Product Release For General availability -Assessment)
• Identify improvements to enhance test capabilities.
• Collaborate with Line Managers to ensure empowered and accountable teams.
• Build and maintain Operational, Technical & Business understanding in the teams.
