What we offer
Our unit, Safe Vehicle Automation, consists of around 600 skilled engineers who are responsible for everything from research and advanced engineering to implementation, verification, and validation of current and future customer offers in the area of Safety, Vehicle control, and Autonomous Drive. Within our Agile Release Train (ART) Active Safety Functions, we develop functions such as Collision Avoidance, Automatic Parking, and Driver Support.
We offer an environment where we learn every day, challenge each other, and give continuous feedback. Your long-term competence plan will include steps to expand your knowledge and contributions within many competence areas that are within your interest or needed in the team.
We are now looking for a Verification Engineer for one of our teams in the Connected Safety product area. Our main product is Connected Safety which is a system where cars share warnings with each other about hazards on the road, such as hazard lights warnings and slippery road warnings.
What you’ll do

You will be verifying the customer functions and testing requirements for attributes, user experience, and performance. The team is responsible for the whole verification chain from integration to attributes, so you will use both virtual environments and vehicles in your work. You will also take responsibility for test method development and connect the virtual function testing to the Continuous Integration chain. You will collaborate closely with the onboard software teams, cloud software teams, and sensor platform teams to align functionality to sensor performance and ensure connectivity to the cloud. You will work with the UX/HMI teams to get the user interaction just right. You will collaborate with your Product Owner to ensure the right functionality is being developed and estimate the size and complexity of the work to be able to plan accordingly.
You and your skills
We believe that you have the drive to learn continuously and are flexible to broaden your experience. You have a BSc degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Automation and Control, Computer Science, or similar. You possess a few years of experience in function and/or system verification on different abstraction levels. You have a tester's mindset and care about quality during all stages of the software development life cycle. You are happy to share your knowledge and are enthusiastic about helping your colleagues to improve their competence in this area. In the role as a Verification Engineer you will be an active member of a scrum team, so having experience from working agile is an advantage. You are a positive and driven team player that likes to collaborate with your team members and other teams to find the best solutions for our customers. Good knowledge of the English language both spoken and in writing, as well as a driver’s license (B), is required. Finally, the experience of working with Git, Splunk, Robot Framework, and MATLAB is meritorious.
