Pega Lead Systems Architect

Summary of Job Purpose:
The Lead System Architect plays a significant role in insuring that the application quality and design is of the highest quality standards and not only meets the needs of the business today but also supports future expansion for new features down the road. The LSA is the most technical resource with PRPC skill set and is responsible for the enterprise class structure and the basic design of the application.

We are looking for experienced Pega specialists to work with the Cognizant team at the client location. The individual will strive to become a trusted advisor to our top clients and facilitate the adoption of thought leadership practices thus growing the accounts from within.

Key Accountabilities:
. Technical Leadership role helps to coordinate and facilitate the technical aspects of the solution
. Works with all groups to help insure best possible design a solution and Lead the technical team in gathering and understanding requirements, and use cases. Interacting with business users and leading business at some user discussions
. Responsible for the technical solution within the Pega tool including enterprise class structure, data model and application framework
. Architect the technical solution, and lead the technical team in development activities.
. Insure adherence to the Pegasystems development guardrails as well as the original design principles.
. Access Pegasystem's centralized support infrastructure including the "expert design clinic," the centralized Global Solutions Library, and architecture "black belts" on behalf of the customer.
. Continuously provide knowledge transfer to the customer and when appropriate mentor and coach client LSA's
. Work closely with customer project managers who are responsible for the offshore delivery teams and ensure effective communication between the teams and the client stakeholders
. Interact with business users and to participate in user discussions
. Insure compliance with coding standards, UI standards and Corporate standards. Perform code reviews to insure application quality and review alert logs to insure quality standards
. Have a expertise in the following Pega design and implementation topics: In addition have a deep knowledge of current technologies including Open Source, web application development, web services (REST/SOAP/XML), WebSphere, JBoss, Tomcat, messaging infrastructures and databases (DB/2, Oracle, SQL)
Experience/skills:
. University Degree in Information technology preferred
. At least 5 years of experience in similar position
. Experience with the BPM product of Pegasystems
. Experience in the banking area
. Experience in more than one of the leading BPM products next to Pega, like IBM BPM, Tibco iProcess, Oracle BPM, Cordys etc.
. CSSA Pega certification required
. Independent, committed, highly conscientious personality with a focus on quality
. Excellent communication skills in English and Swedish preferred
