Power Solutions are six sections forming a power competence center with responsibility to provide knowledge to the Ericsson organization.

Board Power Radio sections at Lindholmen works with research, development, and maintenance of the board power solutions to the majority of the Ericsson Radio Product Portfolio. We are a part of the Ericsson’s global design organization and engaged in developing products for the present and future mobile networks, now with heavy focus on 5G and future 6G technology.

We are now looking for a senior embedded software developer to build and be included in an excellent team, responsible for crafting the discrete board power solution for Ericsson Radio projects.

What you will do

In you we see the driver for structuring, developing, testing, and maintaining the Firmware that is used in our digital power control and power management platforms, used in Ericsson’s radio products.

The Firmware is developed in close cooperation with our Power hardware design teams so experience from Power hardware would be meritorious. The digital controller interacts with the surrounding components, such as ASIC/FPGA, so understanding communication protocols would be of essence. There will be opportunities to look into different areas, and we believe you will find it exciting to support in a variety of tasks. Hence, you should have a driving personality and like networking and building contacts.

The work includes interaction with design disciplines across Ericsson, such as digital design, system design and building practices. Cooperation with global production sites and other design centers in Sweden, Canada and China comes with the daily work.

You will bring

Most of all you have an inquisitive mind and are willing to adapt to new methods and techniques and take initiative to challenge and improve daily work. You work well independently, but you are also an excellent teammate setting the team goals as priority one. You are experienced within the field and have:

• BSc or MSc degree in Software Engineering or equivalent
• Demonstrated knowledge from related field
• Programming in Embedded C, C++
• MATLAB (Simulink) code generation
• Knowledge of Data communication and Microcontroller Programming
• Communication protocols (SPI, I2C, PMBus, etc.)
• Experience in developing unit and component tests for Embedded SW
• Experience working in a laboratory environment
• Analytic and inquisitive approach
• Good collaboration & verbal skills
• Good knowledge in Quality Assurance Methods
• Proficient in English
