Junior Developer to Finance IT

Scania is currently undergoing an exciting transformation from a traditional truck manufacturer to a provider of complete sustainable transport solutions. IT is a crucial part of this transformation as Scania’s success is depending on flexible and efficient IT solutions that support current and future business requirements.

The section Finance IT supports Scania finance business with IT solutions, covering the whole lifecycle, from requirement analysis to implementation and production. Scania’s business is changing over time, and we are on a journey of phasing out older applications and implementing new technology.

Globalization, digitalization and mobility are examples of trends that are affecting our business environment. We are moving towards SAP, SaaS and AWS. During the change, we need to keep a good support and maintenance flow of our older applications and be able to set this up for the new ones.

We are now looking for a Junior Developer that will work as a System administrator/DevOps in our cross-functional team and be a part of the Support and Maintenance, working within several financial systems and processes and moving them into the future setup.

Your work assignment

You’ll be part of a small team within a large organization. Each one has an expert area, but also a broad knowledge of several financial applications. Due to an ever-changing world, the focus area for each system administrator is yet to be decided.

In your daily work, you will have assignments within e.g. access handling, application support, development in .Net, configuration and upgrades.

Your profile

You are a structured and service-minded person with an agile mindset, and you are willing to learn and explore new areas outside your comfort zone.

Being a System administrator within Finance IT means developing a wide network of contacts both within and outside of Sweden, therefore networking, dialogue and cooperation fall natural to you. You are driven, social and like to cooperate with others and have a strong will to deliver results with quality and speed. Proficiency in written and spoken English is a must.

We believe you have one or several of the following meritorious experiences:

• Preferably have a degree in Computer science or some industry-leading certifications and the right hands-on experience.
• Experience in IT support and maintenance (e.g. Incident, Problem, Change, Configuration Management)
• Database, Basic SQL Queries and other knowledge of IT infra tasks in Middleware Knowledge and experience in coordinating projects and activities.
• Knowledge of Operating systems (Linux, Windows Server).
• General knowledge of Network, Storage, Backup.
• Knowledge and experience of agile principles and ways of working.
• Experience with systems in the Finance area is an advantage.
• User Management (Add/Delete/Update User roles and access rights) in applications.
