YOU WILL
The Scania mobile app fills the need our users have when being on the move and interacting with our services including the possibility to give our drivers remote access to a number of functions in the truck itself. Our autonomous teams carry out both frontend Android and iOS development as well as our backend for front-end façade. Your primary focus will be on the development of the Android mobile applications, but with the opportunity to learn from your peers, broaden your skills and experience within the other system parts.

As an Android Developer, you will design, develop and maintain the Scania Android app mobile Phones and Tablets. This means to engage with the rest of the team and actively work towards our common team goals. You will write testable code and unit tests as well as review your peer’s code. Being a developer in our team provides you the possibility to see your input and interact with end-users of our solutions and work with a lot of new development. Furthermore, you will be involved in the entire development chain and work in an innovative and autonomous environment. Lastly, following technical trends and raising innovative new features will also be part of your daily work.

YOU ARE
In order to thrive in this role, we believe you have a great passion for new technologies, software development, and creating great user experiences together with UX and service designers. You are willing to take up the task that is most important for the team to progress and always with a positive and easy-going mindset. To be familiar with Agile ways of working and always with QA and test-driven development in mind is important. We also value colleagues that posses a can-do mentality and get energised by working with complex systems.

We expect you to have a couple of years of work experience as Android Developer and to be a developer with a genuine interest for technology. We also believe that you:

- Have strong experience in Kotlin language and expertise working with reusable and scaleable app architectures (MVVM, Kotlin multiplatform)
- Are well versed with latest development methodologies like live-data, dependency injection and reactive patterns
- Have experience in consuming RESTful services
- It is highly meritorious if you have experience of AWS
- BSc degree in a computer-related field

Additionally, your English is fluent, both verbally and written, as well as you are confident in working with Github and Git.
