Android Framework Developer

We are now looking for several developer teams. The area of Android development is increasing and we currently have many different assignments where you're skills are needed. We hope to find engineers with different skillsets within Android development and to then match the perfect candidate with the perfect assignment! ️

We will expand our teams, working on embedded products based on Android. The teams are currently working with everything from the lower layers of the Android framework, including Linux drivers and in to the java framework layer. The ideal candidate has worked in at least one area of the Android stack bellow the application layer. The developers will be part of our very strong development team that works with our high profile customers.

Please note we are not looking for application developers.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITY

- Develop software in Android based systems; analyze, design, program, integrate, unit test, debug in the top layers of the Android stack: Application layer and Framework layer.
- Work in teams with other software developers.
- Interface customers on engineering level.
- Contribute in pre-studies and propose technical solutions.
- Collaborate with specialists and developers from other technical areas like hardware, audio and optics.
- Investigate and learn new product domains in context of need to design the correct solutions.

REQUIREMENT

- Experience in programming in Android based systems.
- Knowledge and understanding in embedded software development.
- Experience in Java and/or Kotlin programming.

QUALIFICATIONS

- Minimum Bachelor’s in computer science or equal.
- Experience in Java and Kotlin programming.
- Experience in working with Qualcomm chipsets.
- Experience in developing (big) systems of integrated functionality in software and hardware.
- Experience in developing consumer products.
- Development tools like Git, Gerrit, Jenkins, Coverity.
- Creative debugging with multiple sources and techniques like debuggers, log analysis, signal analysis, and protocol sniffers.
- Strong documentation and writing skills.
