Experienced game designer

We’re looking for an experienced game designer to help create the future of edTech for children together with us. As our user base grows, so does the need for new products and its time to look into whats ahead of us!

What you'll do

• Create innovative mobile games with defined education purposes that are also joyful and engaging for young children.
• Translate the pedagogical requirements from pedagogues to an engaging learning activity/game for young children.
• Design the game UX and UI based on the development stage of the target age children.
• Work collaboratively within the team, product development leadership, other teams and departments to deliver finalized features and games.
• Work together with the team to iterate on features from ideation stage, take the initiative to implement improvements, and feedback on all aspects of the feature/game.
• Create and maintain design files and documentation according to the company standard.

For this role we would like you to be able to come into our wonderful head office in Göteborg once in a while.

Skills & Requirements

• Education within the area of design, such as game design, interactive design etc.
• Fluent English and strong communication skills. You enjoy painting the future and communicating your ideas clearly.
• Experience from working with casual and/or full age games.
• Patience, logical and passionate mindset.
• Genuine interest in helping others to grow and in teaching and mentoring.
• Please attach a portfolio of sample projects and CV.

Ideally, you have lots of experience with designing and balancing educational digital products or kids games. You have strong communications skills and good at collaborating with directors, other designers, and developers. You enjoy finding creative solutions and don’t mind thinking big and ambitious while keeping a focus on the production realities. You have a quality mindset and always make sure to make sure the player experience as fun as possible.

If you have experience in Unity its a big plus for us.
