Software Engineer (Automotive)

Role Description

You will primarily work as a consultant on assignments at different OEMs in the Gothenburg area as a Software Engineer. In this role you will be part of a team at the OEM that is characterized by its enthusiasm for embedded systems and its know-how for automotive software. You will develop innovative embedded software for high-tech cars to meet the challenges of the future in terms of mobility, connectivity and autonomous driving.

You may also work on our own products within Nebula Automotive between assignments.

Your focus areas will be

It will depend on the need described by the OEMs of the consultant assignment but typically you will be part of the entire development process from design to test and integration.

• Writing clean, high-quality, high-performance, maintainable code
• Creating next generation applications in the assigned domain
• Develop and support software including applications, database integration, interfaces, and new functionality enhancements
• Support test and deployment of new products and features
• Support in system integration activities
• Participate in code reviews

Required qualifications

• Minimum Batchelor of Science degree in Computer Science/Electronics (or related field)
• 3+ years of relevant work experience (we are hiring in various levels)
• 1+ years of experience in the automotive industry
• Previous experience as Software Engineer
• Excellent knowledge of software development in C++
• Good knowledge of common network technologies (e.g. TCP/IP, CAN or Ethernet) and experience with hardware interfaces
• Good knowledge of operating systems like Linux
• Good knowledge of GIT
• Excellent ability to work in a team
• Ready to demonstrate a strong commitment to both the customer and the team
• Fluent in English

Meritorious qualifications

• Experience working in an agile framework like SAFe using Scrum/Kanban or similar
• Team lead / Scrum master experience
• Experience in the electro mobility domain
• Experience with Autosar (both Classic and Adaptive), QNX, Android
• Knowledge of various automotive network protocols such as CAN/CAN FD, LIN, SOMEIP, DDS etc.
• Additional programming languages: C, Python, Java
• Matlab / Simulink
• Continuous integration, Jenkins, CircleCI, Gitlab etc
• Tools experience: Vector tool suite like DaVinci etc, SystemWeaver
• System Safety experience, ISO 26262
