SW Test Engineer to InCoax Networks

We are looking for a new colleague to join our highly skilled team. In this role, you will take ownership for the software testing and be part of building better solutions for our customers. YOUR NEW CHALLENGE
Our organizational style is informal and collaborative, and you will have plenty of opportunities to work closely together with people from all parts of the company with the sole purpose of supplying our customers with the best possible offerings. You will be part of a team developing our management software (Coax Link Management). The users of this system are network technicians responsible for the operational set-up in our customer’s network.

As we are continuously increasing the capabilities for the management software, we also want to strengthen the testing and automate as much as possible. You will have the ownership of setting up test plans and strategies. Some of the focus areas could be to look at and decide on frameworks, or to contribute to our roadmap and how our product can be integrated towards external systems.

Some of your responsibilities:

- Establish test and test automation plans for products end-to-end
- Design and implement test cases and test the overall product, including requirements gathering and supporting commercial deployment.
- Monitor and control progress of test activities
- Identify areas where scripts and test automation can increase quality and speed
- Design, implement and improve our test frameworks

The position is based in either Gävle or Lund. There may be limited traveling to customers, partners and our office in Lund/Gävle. You will report to the Head of Development who is based in Lund.

YOU ARE
Being a person with a keen interest in technology and an entrepreneurial mindset will make you successful in this role. We are an innovative company and an understanding of product development and Test Engineering is important. Good writing and communication skills are needed as you will collaborate with external partners and customers. Other valued traits are to be quality-focused, confident in your expertise and comfortable in leading technology forward.

We believe that you have good knowledge of network protocols and an understanding of network topology. Experience of designing test cases, testing web applications and test automation (UI and integration) is a must. You have an Agile Mindset and familiar with things like Scrum, Kanban and DevOps. On a list of things you have been working with, you would probably mention some of the below:

- Source control tools and platforms such as Git, Gitlab and Bitbucket.
- Programming languages like Python, C, HTML, PHP, JavaScript
- API testing (e.g. REST and SOAP) through test script development
- API test automation tools (like SoapUI)
- Database principles/technologies (like Mongo and PostgreSQL)
- JIRA or Redmine (for instance setting up dashboards and filters)

OUR SOLUTION
Fiber networks are being installed in streets at a rapid pace, but the cost and complexity of connecting buildings and apartments with high-speed, high-bandwidth services represents the Last Mile Challenge.
