IT Support Technician

About Us:

Bantaba is a funding and knowledge platform for African startups. Despite a 22% entrepreneurship rate, 70% of startups in Africa lack access to talent and capital. This is the problem we are addressing.

Our digital platform enables African Startups to access knowledge and capital from the African community living outside of Africa (the “diaspora”). About the role:

We are looking for an IT support technician who is ready to join our growing team. We are keen on meeting you, who is independent minded, has a strong passion for Africa’s startup ecosystem and is always willing to think outside the box. The work will be conducted from our office at A-house in Stockholm.

What you’ll be doing:

Your main task will be to support in maintaining Bantaba’s IT infrastructure, perform troubleshooting when issues are raised by our startup users, conduct quality checks on newly developed codes before deployment, onboard our African startups onto the platform and provide technical support to our Africa-based startups relating to the use of the platform.

In this role, you will be working directly with the CEO.

Role requirements:

- Strong knowledge about Africa’s startup ecosystem

- Previous experience with troubleshooting

- Vue.JS

- Nodejs

- Fluency in English and French

Meriting, but not required:

- Previously founded a Startup in Africa

- Strong network in the African startup ecosystem

- Fluent in local African languages

You will take on big responsibilities and have a strong influence on the user experience of African startups on our digital platform. You will have scope to develop your skills and learn a lot about an emerging market startup ecosystem.
