Scania is driving the shift to be able to offer more sustainable transport solutions. Logistics is a big part of this, both as one of the key areas in the company, but also as the testing ground for new technologies and ways of working.

There is an increasing volume of projects and initiatives that require more technical knowledge regarding automation and digitalization of processes. One of the main parts of this is the creation of applications.

We are now building a team just to do just that. It is going to be located within logistics and will work closely with both IT and business to secure all business needs align with IT architecture. As part of this group you will be working closely with a back-end, IoT and cloud developer as well as process developers at the logistic centres. 

The team
We are working with global development for inhouse logistics, that means we will be the ones leading it and work towards global solutions. Currently we have large logistic centres in Brazil, Netherlands, Poland, Sweden and a soon-to-be China. There are a lot of challenges in front of us with plenty of opportunities to create and develop. That’s why we need you!

Your profile
You are into web development and can work with a team as well as develop on your own when needed. You are proactive and have problem-solving skills. You are also not afraid of leaving the office and going to the middle of the logistic centre to understand how things work and how your development will affect the processes. You are also eager to learn about development skills as well as business skills.

• Degree in computer science or similar, and/or equivalent experience
• You have extensive knowledge and experience in developing single-page front-end applications using frameworks such as Angular or React.
• Extensive knowledge and experience in HTML, JavaScript and CSS.
• Ability to understand and evaluate different architectural patterns and designs, depending on the task at hand.
• Familiar with Agile-based development methods.
• Knowledge in DevOps operations.
• Database knowledge (SQL, NoSQL)
• Knowledge in UI/UX
• Proficient in written and spoken English.

As a person you are flexible, communicative and have strong interpersonal skills. You are also a team player and open for feedback. Proficiency in Swedish is a merit.
