MSSQL Database Developer

We’re now looking for a dedicated and experienced Software Engineer, MSSQL Database Developer. You will be part of a cross-functional agile team in one of our most exciting areas within the Corporate Solutions Agile Release Train. What we do will make a real difference in our customers’ everyday financial lives and allow Swedbank to continue deliver customer value in the rapidly changing financial industry. In Swedbank you have the opportunity to:
- Work in a high performing cross-functional team together with Software Engineers, Business Analysts, Scrum Master and Product Owner.
- Participate in the work to deliver a liquidity overview in the online bank, for corporates with more advanced needs.
- Create high quality code and be a driver in the area of MSSQL Database Development.
- Continuously learn and share your knowledge with others.
- Play an important role in the team participating from early stages of requirement gathering, through development and up to production launch and post-production and maintenance.
- Focus on delivering value with high quality.
- Design solutions within the frames of defined architecture.

What is needed in this role:
- Solution oriented and continuously strive to improve.
- Customer-centered mindset.
- Experience in working as a MS SQL Database developer.
- Experience working with multi-terabyte transactional databases, including partitioning, compression.
- Strong performance tuning skills, comfortable working with Query store to identify and mitigate performance issues.
- Proficiency with git. We use Bitbucket and other Atlassian products for version control and documentation.
- Understanding of continuous integration practices.
- Documented experience working with high performance databases.
- Documented experience working with large databases with extensive amount of data.
- Experience creating and optimizing physical data models.
- Good communication skills and fluency in English.
- Relevant academic degree.

Considered as an advantage:
- Knowledge in Powershell scripting (for the CI process).
- Knowledge in supporting Java/JDBC clients on Linux and/or Kafka connectors, including AD authentication.
- Knowledge and understanding of the business area.
- Experience in agile ways of working.
