This is a great opportunity to join the team at the start of the journey to build the new Vimian Group-wide data platform, with significant scope to shape your own role. You will be driving this critical project, which will improve efficiency of financial reporting and help management get a better understanding of the Group and business opportunities ahead.

In this early stage, we are looking for a driven, curious, and highly logical Data Warehouse Engineer to join and help build our IT BI function. To succeed in this position, you should have strong analytical skills and the ability to combine data from various data sources. You need strong communication skills and a consistent record of collaborating with multiple teams and disciplines in a dynamic environment.

What you will do:

• Develop and maintain Vimian’s data warehouse platform, continuously onboard new companies acquired
• Collaborate with Group Management, Finance, and operations to provide data analysis in answering critical business questions
• Develop tools to track progress against key business objectives, being a sparring partner to Vimian management
• Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure the established data definitions match their expectations
• With us, you will be leading highly prioritised projects to deliver data and data generated insights across the Group.
• During critical reporting periods, provide technical solutions on issues arising in the consolidation tool

• Bachelor or master’s degree in Computer Science or Data science
• 2+ years data engineering experience as a BI developer or software engineer
• Expert knowledge of SQL
• Knowledge of developing in Python
• Experience with Azure
• Experience with setting up database development, including data warehouse design and ELT or ETL.
• Hands-on experience with data pipelines and data visualization tools
• Deep, practical understanding of statistical analysis techniques
