About the position
As an embedded engineer you will join the Systems and Digital Products Department (SDP) and be part of the cross functional Navina maintenance organisation. You will be part of the "Smart execution team" and interact with all other parts of the organisation, mainly with the coordination team and the external producer. The main purpose with the maintenance work is to keep the existing products producible, compliant and available to the market. And in your role as an embedded engineer you will typically plan and perform the following activities:

• Root cause investigations
• Supporting the external producer with issues with the production test equipment and production issues related to the product design
• Approving and/or finding component alternatives at obsoleteness or at sourcing problems
• Update the product (embedded) when needed
• Perform verification and black box tests on subsystem and system level
• Plan, create work package for and lead an external embedded team (partner with Wellspect that performs advanced embedded and app design work)
• High level verification and testing of app
• Keep the product documentation up to date

As an Embedded engineer your main responsibilities would be, Execution of Execution team activities, PTS system owner in PDMLink (Windchill PLM system) and transfer activities during change management.

To succeed in the position
We would like to believe that you have a deep technical interest and experience in developing or performing maintenance of embedded electromechanical products. It is essential that you are self-motivated and communicative for this position. We are searching for a broad competence that spans over the competence areas described below, rather than deep knowledge in a special competence area.

When it comes to the product documentation, you should have the documentation skills to update existing documentation in English. As an embedded engineer you should also know how to perform a documented root cause investigation with conclusions and recommendations. For this position it is important that you are also able to master lab work, i.e. soldering, using measuring equipment (multimeter, oscilloscope, etc), understanding EMC protection, use evaluation boards etc.

A successful candidate will be expected to be self-sufficient working with:
- Programming language such as C or C++
- Software version control, preferably git
- Software issue and workflow management/collaboration tools such as JIRA, DevOps
- Microcontroller programming and debugging in an embedded application
- Scripting languages such as Python, bash
- Machine control via e.g. serial communication
- Electronics prototyping tools e.g. Arduino, Raspberry Pi

Experience with the following is beneficial but not required (will be required to use but can learn given the above list is fulfilled):
- National Instruments LabVIEW
- SQL
- Atmel family microcontrollers and IDE

When it comes to HW you should:
- Understand digital and analog circuit solutions
- Have the skills to Interpret data sheets for electronic components
- Understand electronic circuit diagrams
- Know how to update circuit diagrams by using electro CAD (Altium Designer)
- Understand how a PCB is designed

To succeed in this position you should also have a general understanding of mechanics when it comes to housing in order to be able to lead such issues and communicate with internal Mechanical designers.
