About this opportunity

We are now looking for a Software Configuration Manager (SCM) for our SCM team. In the SCM team, our mission is to keep track of and control changes in the software for the PDU Packet Core products. SCM practices include revision control and the establishment of baselines. SCM can determine what was changed and who changed it if something goes wrong. In the team, we are now also focusing on automation of our workflows to become more efficient and get an easy-to-use environment.

Your role will include all SCM activities such as revision control, releases of our products, tools design, and automation. You will also work with Product Lifecycle Management support and product documentation. Our focus is on Lean and Agile ways of working. We are organized in development teams in which continuous improvement, innovation and knowledge sharing are part of the daily work.

What you will do

• Central build system infrastructure
• PDU PC deliver process
• Collaboration with Ericsson global services and other tools team
• Perform continuous analysis and requirement handling
• Perform advanced troubleshooting
• Drive continuous improvements of environments, tools, and processes
• Develop competence, document, and teach in the technical domain

You will bring

• Education: Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Algorithms or equivalent
• Good experience with UNIX/Linux
• Programming languages: Python / Shell scripting
• Systematic way of thinking, understanding of software life cycle management
• Experience working with tools such Git/Gerrit, Kubernetes, Jenkins
• Experience serving in the capacity of a technical consultant or advisor, or equivalent client-facing engineering or technical consulting experience.

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience working with Software Configuration Management
• Familiarity with standard IT security practices such as encryption, certificates, and key management.
• Experience in developing software in PDU Packet Core or understanding the development flow of Packet Core products is considered a merit
