Scania is now undergoing a transformation from being a supplier of trucks, buses and engines to a supplier of complete and sustainable transport solutions.

Scania Financial Services (SFS) is serving customers, dealers and distributors in some 60 markets through 16 captive business units with financing and insurance solutions. In markets where we operate Financial Services finance about one-third of Scania’s truck sales. Over 1000 dedicated professionals manage a portfolio consisting of 160.000 trucks, buses, coaches and trailers representing around 100 bn SEK of assets financed and more than 100.000 insurance policies. About the role:
At Scania Financial Services group we have been on the journey towards a leaner, constantly improving and sustainable organization for some time, and are now in a combined operational and building phase with a focus on implementing new processes and rolling out a new platform, supporting our vision.

One large part of the organization is the development factory, this is where we do all development required to support the whole of Scania Financial Services. The factory consists of different teams that are responsible for their own platform as well as their part of the total solution.

We work in a cloud environment, supporting major ERP systems, FIS AF and Microsoft D365. Each team is led by a Technical Platform Owner, a TPO. As a TPO you are responsible for managing your team, managing your team’s backlog, and leading them in daily activities as well as in the more long-term perspective. You will also be responsible for developing and maintaining your platform and the architecture around that, and being part of the TPO forum, where we decide on the overall architecture and design required for new functionality.

Main areas of responsibility:
In order to succeed in your new role, we believe that you today are working with both developing and managing a team and have a focus on integration. We also see that you are passionate about taking part in change and discussion on the way of working for both your team and the overall development organization.

As our new TPO, you will also work with complex integrations, have familiarity with cloud platforms like Azure and are comfortable with both Java and .Net. We also see that you have experience from designing /building micro services in a cloud environment.

In this role, you would be part of a team of experienced leaders that manage their own teams and you will be part of playing an important role in the change journey for Scania Financial Services.

Who are you?
We believe that you are driven and result-oriented, have good interpersonal skills and are skilled at building networks. You are a team player and are also highly communicative and pedagogic. As our TPO, you also have a high service level approach. You could be working as a team leader or lead developer today, or maybe you have a few years of experience as a developer that would like to get into more management and start leading a team.

Moreover, we also see that you have:

• Relevant education or equivalent experience from previous work-life
• Experience in working and setting up agile development & operations teams
• Experience in scripting languages, Java and .Net
• Experience in high and low-level design documentation
• Domain expertise
• At least 5 years of experience in complex integration in a cloud environment.
• AWS and Azure technical and architectural knowledge
• High proficiency in written and spoken English and good command of Swedish is desirable

The job offers international contact with our Finance companies. This also means that you are expected to travel from time to time. In this position, you will be reporting to the Scania Financial Head of information and technology management at Scania Financial Services.

The role will be located in Södertälje at the Head Office for Financial Services. At the Head Office, we are about 50 people working to support the local business units in different ways, all from daily support in handling credit scoring for a large customer to strategically developing new ways of financing our portfolio and how to increase our contribution to the local business and customers. As TPO your main focus will be to develop your team and platform in order to support the organization in the best possible way.
