Volvo Cars have an ambition to expand our in-house software development. At the department of Core System Software, we are part of this ambition. Our teams are building the next generation high-performance in-vehicle compute cluster, designed to host different vehicle applications, stretching from basic vehicle state machines to advance active safety and unsupervised autonomous drive functionalities. This compute cluster will be launched in our coming generation of pure electric and self-driving Volvo models. Our task is to create a safe, reliable, and secure software that serve as a platform for our stakeholders and partners to deploy applications on. 
We are now looking for someone to take on the role as Frontend Software Developer for Test Resource Management System. 

What you’ll do?
* You will work with inhouse developed functions, that are owned and driven by the team, both when it comes to growth and functionality. Here you have the chance to contribute and to drive change together with the team. We work with Hardware in the loop (HIL), a test environment that are used to validate software development and test on target hardware. Soon we have over 200 HIL rigs.
* Some use cases for the tool are interface to manage large scale rig fleet, rig provisioning, health checks etc. It is an automatic tool to secure high quality of our test environments, configure, deploy and secure high functionality and utilization.
* To strengthen the team, we are looking for a front-end developer with interest in working in close connection to the hardware. The teamwork with full solution - from backend and rig configuration to front end and user interface. Everyone in the team is contributing to the full team scope.

Skills that will help you in your role
We see that you are team player, that contributes and enjoy collaboration. We think that you have at least three years of experience, working with similar kind of development with experience from Javascript and React.js. We see it as meritorious if you know Python and are familiar with Linux and Bash scripts. If you have worked with hardware configuration and/or have a network administrator background, that is considered an advantage. 
Fluency in spoken and written English is required.
