Backend Engineer

Since 2018, Voi has been on a mission to create safe, sustainable and reliable micromobility for everyone. Today we are the #1 e-scooter service in Europe, operating in 102 cities with over 100 MILLION rides to date. It has been an amazing journey and we have no intention of stopping now. As a member of our engineering team, you would be part of shaping the urban mobility in Europe.

Join our Hardware Engineering Department and work with a team of highly driven developers from different backgrounds and experiences.

YOUR MISSION AT VOI

- Help us build a scalable and reliable cloud solution for our massive vehicle fleets
- Work in a highly cross-functional edge-to-cloud team that owns all of our connectivity features
- Work closely with the firmware team and hardware development.
- Perform large scale data processing to analyse the IoT performance and help define new product features
- Be creative and drive new ideas regarding architecture, tools, products and languages

WHAT YOU NEED TO EMBARK

Our platform is based on microservices written in Golang. We work closely with our data team exporting large amounts of data that help us make data-driven business decisions. So we likely see that you have:

- 5+ years of backend engineering (Golang, Java, C# or similar)
- Cloud technologies like Kubernetes and GCP
- Scalable cloud architecture
- Experience with working with data pipelines is considered a plus
- Experience with EMQx, Grafana, Prometheus, LWM2M is a plus
