We are now establishing a Digital business development team in Inter IKEA Group with the purpose to lead assignments for Inter IKEA process & digital roadmap which includes translation of business strategies against development needs, creating, shaping, negotiating and presenting options and scenarios and leading consequence analysis across functions and organisations in Inter IKEA and together with franchisees. All with the purpose to secure a holistic approach for how to transform, develop and run the IKEA operating model to enable business movements for IKEA for many years to come.

Job Description 

The Software developer develops and maintains a high quality framework for API micro services. The framework is used by other teams for developing business critical integrations for IKEA. We have a highly integrated and automated IT service landscape and our success depends on that our integrations work 24/7 globally. 

You will join a big and diverse team that is responsible for half a dozen integration technology platforms. The team consists of software developers, platform engineers, solution architects, and stream leads / platform owners. The team is shared between Malmö, Älmhult, and Delft in the Netherlands, and we work in a mix of physical and virtual meeting points. 

We have a lot of interaction with the rest of the IT organization as well as with  business stakeholders. The team works closely with a number of platform vendors and we utilize external experts both as consultants and as bought service.  The Software developer understands technology on a hands on practical level and knows how to create high quality and secure code, and can also communicate and cooperate effectively with stakeholders on all levels. 

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: 
Responsible for the development and operations (maintenance) of a microservice framework 
Delivers tested, ready to be deployed, and well maintainable code that supports and enables business needs according to the agreed planning and budget. Following defined architectural principles, security requirements, rules, best practices, guidelines and interoperability requirements.  
Work in agile teams contributing to the development and maintenance of products and solutions. 
Contributing to the continuous development and improvement of standards and working processes as well as exploring and bring-in new technologies to boost innovation and productivity.  
Works closely together with other software engineers and functions to produce all required design documentation and ensures that solutions work together and fulfill business needs. Continuously improving the overall productivity, componentization and simplicity of the code.  
Oversees the various solutions being developed within his/her technology domain and contributes to code-reviews to ensure technical feasibility, scalability, and reusability.  
Responsible for proper technical documentation and will pro-actively share knowledge with others. 
Responsible for reviewing other developers code, ensuring that it follows guidelines and requirements  
 Qualifications 
We believe that you have a university degree in Information Technology or similar, or equivalent industry experience, and that you have some years’ experience in software development.  
You have at least a few years professional experience of coding in Java, and you have a very good knowledge about developing micro services and Web API´s. If you know and have used SpringBoot or similar frameworks it is an advantage. 
You have experience in working in a hybrid infrastructure environment with components in cloud as well as in on-prem datacenters. You also have some experience with either Azure, AWS, or GCP.

This is a full time role (40 hours per week) based in Malmö, Sweden.
