The role
Welcome to the team that brings the overarching strategy, tools and general implementations for the Viaplay Group CICD tools and practices. Our customers are the developers in the Viaplay Group. Our mission is to improve software delivery performance by increasing deployment frequency, decreasing release change failure rate. We achieve this by lowering developer stress with standardised ways of building/deploying, promoting good practices and architecting the infrastructure to fit developer CICD needs.

We work closely with both developers, test developers, security and cloud architects to bring them next generation Continuous Deployment in AWS ecosystem regardless of if it is for containerized clusters, EC2 instances or serverless applications.

As our customer base is increasing with current market expansions, a more mature hosting platform is needed. The plan is to have a cell based cloud hosting platform and together with it a cutting edge CICD offering. The developer should not experience the complexity of the cell architecture in the development lifecycle. So, this is where the future challenge of the team lies.

Some of your tasks will include:

- Define, implement, and analyse metrics to resolve overall software delivery performance within the Viaplay group.
- Design and implement the future of CICD experience on Viaplay products and systems with the evolvement of our new system architecture.
- Be an ambassador of DevOps best practices to the organisation. Support and coach our developers along the journey by being collaborative and communicating proactively.
- Research, share, recommend, and drive adoption of new technologies, standard methodologies, and trends related to CICD.
- Help the team evolve by actively participating in the code review process, design discussions, planning, and post-mortems.

What we’re looking for
We are looking for someone who has a strong interest in CICD, is self-driven and a team player, with at least 3 years of developer, DevOps or automation experience in a cloud native environment. We are a team in constant motion always looking for the next thing to test, implement, improve and automate. You can be a generalist or a specialist but either way this job will challenge you to learn more to help our customers:

- Solid experience in programming languages like Python and Node.js, as well as scripting skills in Bash.
- Good understanding of CICD best practices e.g., infrastructure as code, GitOps
- Hands-on experience on CICD technologies, e.g., Docker, GitHub Actions, AWS CodePipeline, Terraform.
- Practical experience working with various AWS cloud services.
- A can-do attitude, sense of humor and the ability to work humbly with others.

It’s a bonus if you have:

- Automated deployment experience in large scale, multi-accounts, multi-regions system.
- Experience in build, deployment of serverless applications in AWS.
- Experience with artifact repository management tool e.g. Artifactory
