We don’t have the answers to everything. Why is the sky blue? Anyone’s guess (although the scientists of the world probably have something to say here). But one question we think we do have the answer to - how do we fix a broken planetary food system? We have two answers to that. One is ‘OATS!’ and the other is ‘YOU!’  

You?? Yes! You! Our Digital Development team is growing, and it needs your leadership skills. The sustainability revolution isn’t going to happen by itself, we need all the help we can get. So if making the world a more sustainable place and trying to avert climate catastrophe is the kind of thing that gets you up in the morning, then read on! 

Here’s what you would do, 

As a Development Lead Digital Consumer Experience (DCX), you will lead and guide the development team in projects, ensuring that they are moving ahead, steadily and smoothly. Set the culture and drive that within the product team. This involves Mentoring, coaching and developing the team. In this role you will also be the Initiator to forming a closer collaboration with the business side. You will have earlier involvement in ideas that generate discussions and be in close collaboration with Creative department, Communications Department and Business Technology Teams as well as other parts of Oatly.

The role is located in the Malmö HQ office with a hybrid work setting and reports to VP Digital Development Director.

What do most days look like? 

Here’s what you can expect in the day-to-day,

- Lead the cross-functional digital product team
- Being a culture carrier
- Making sure the team is working in an efficient way with focus on business value-generation
- Deliver according to agreed time plan
- Work closely with suppliers and partners
- Enabling and encouraging a lean, agile and delivery mindset
- Nurturing and enabling team members to grow and flourish
- Improve and drive collaboration cross-teams and cross-departments
- Be the technical voice of the team, initiate discussions regarding technical feasibility and deliveries
- Provide guidance and feedback to developers in the team
- Help stay up to date with new developments or frameworks that can aid the team
- Organize and facilitate code meetings & planning
- Oversee the technical roadmap & help prioritize future work

But, you know. These are just the things we can think of right now! This might be the job today, but tomorrow brings more change, so being light on your feet and willing to embrace the unknown is a verrrrrry big help.  

Here’s the kind of experience, qualities and approach that we’re looking for at Oatly, 

- Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field
- Proven success as a senior software/ Front-End developer
- Advanced Coding skills in Front-End development
- Knows Agile workways, Kanban or Scrum
- Knowledge within React and Next.js
- Stakeholder management skills

We also believe that you are a good communicator in English, both verbally and in writing. Have leadership and coaching skills, share our values, is a guiding principle ambassador and has a visionary mindset when it comes to digital product development and tech.

It´s a plus if..

- You have experience within Azure DevOps
- Have experience from working in a global, fast growing organization
- Have worked in a product team
