Excellent, as we are now looking for creative, energetic, system integrators/testers and test automation SW developers to join our Cloud RAN System-DevOps unit. We are embracing cloud native and DevOps ways-of-working, to deliver our products with better customer experience and at the same time increase the organizational efficiency.

Our unit drives and develops new ways of verifying, delivering, and deploying Cloud RAN SW products using cloud native principles. We strive towards using DevOps principles where possible. An important part to enable this is to use a Continues Integration (CI) and Continuous Delivery (CD) flow within our development.

We are growing our organization with skilled persons with various kinds of experiences in system integration, system test and software development of automated test cases as well as contributions of new functionality in the test framework. We are using a Java based test automation framework named JCAT/MJE, based on TestNG open source test framework. Test cases are implemented in Java. We work in an inner-source WoW where each developer can contribute with functionality in the test automation framework, which is common for the whole Development Unit Networks. We make use of open source components whenever we can.

You will face new technics and methods, like cloud native, microservices and AI/ML, at the same time as the system architecture and the solutions are being developed. You need to be comfortable to work on unspecified tasks and changing requirements.

We are now looking for Cloud RAN System Testers and Integrators as well as Test automation SW Developers, who will be responsible for specifying, developing, and completing automated tests in our operations pipeline. Trouble-shooting of developed automated test cases, the test environment and to build competence to also be able to trouble-shoot the actual Cloud RAN products (vCU and vDU).

What you will do

• Specify test cases based on requirements.
• Develop automated test cases in JCAT/MJE in the test areas such as Characteristics, Robustness, Stability, System Upgrade etc.
• Execute automated test cases in test channels.
• Complete manual test cases in test channels when needed.
• Trouble-shoot test cases, environment and build competence to also trouble-shoot the Cloud RAN products.
• Issue trouble reports and verify corrections.
• Mentor colleagues.

You will bring

• M. Sc. or B. Sc. level in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT, or equivalent level of knowledge.
• LTE or 5G system verification experience.
• Hands-on knowledge of UE simulators (for e.g.Viavi), Qualcomm based UEs, lab tools and lab equipment, i.e., you must be used to work with lab equipment and STP’s / test channels and be confident in solving problems in the test setups in cooperation with others.
• Verification and troubleshooting of characteristics and performance requirements and network level KPIs.
• Experience of working with system verification areas such as Robustness, Stability, System Upgrade etc. in embedded-RAN (MS-RBS) or Cloud RAN E2E system level.
• In-depth analysis and troubleshooting skills and ability to articulate issues to non-technical audience.
• Ability to debug L2/L3 protocols and networking issues.

Good to have qualifications

• Ability to specify and develop automated test cases in Java, based on the JCAT/MJE test automation framework.
• Superb communication skills and ability to perform root cause analysis of failures.
• Mentoring and teaching junior engineers to upskill in system test and integration domain.
• Test analysis and prescribing test cases to perform Cloud RAN level quality assurance.
• Desire to find corner cases and break the system using an innovative approach and domain competence.
• Cloud native knowledge, thinking and skills.
