About this opportunity

We are now looking for creative, energetic Java SW developers focusing on test automation to join our test automation team working with 5G MSRBS products.

In your daily work, you will share your time with other experienced and new developers across the production unit with development groups. You will be writing inventive, high-quality, clean, optimized test code in Java-based test automation framework, based on the TestNG open-source test framework for use in your automated verification and delivery to the automated continuous integration machinery. You will experience a truly collaborative and encouraging environment regarding tools and colleagues.

PDU BB Baseband Production Sector has end-to-end competence and responsibility for Baseband Module Continuous Integration (CI). In our CI, we perform extensive tests in several steps to ensure fast feedback to thousands of baseband developers and outstanding customer quality.

We are searching for new graduates and persons with a few years of working experience eager to join us on our journey to build something truly exciting!

What you will do

  • Write inventive, high-quality, clean, optimized test code
  • Deliver automated test cases to the Continuous Integration (CI) loops
  • Maintain and improve the quality of the L1 and L2 parts of the Baseband product by securing legacy coverage in test loops
  • Perform trouble shooting and support test cases in CI loops
  • Drive continuous improvements of products, environments, and processes
  • Work with internal/external organizations and partners

You will bring

  • A bachelor's or master's level degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT, or equivalent level of knowledge
  • Solid programming skills in Java, Python/Shell script
  • Understanding of git and user experience in Linux environment
  • Excellent cooperation, communication, and people skills
  • Passion for high-quality SW development
  • Large interest in continuously developing your competencies and skills

For more experienced candidates, the following competencies are preferred:

  • LTE or 5G relevant experience is an advantage
  • Knowledge of CI/CD
  • 2+ years of software development experience
  • Experience with test, integration, and troubleshooting tools like UE simulators and protocol analyzers
  • Knowledge of writing automated test cases
  • Good knowledge of wireless communication systems, lab troubleshooting, and test automation techniques/tools
