Test Engineer

Your role

You will be a part of Saab's Public Safety Solutions business unit where we develop and deploy Command, Control and Communication software solutions used by police forces, ambulance services, fire and rescue services, airports and public transport agencies. Our software applications help these organisations to manage critical incidents, respond to people in distress and ultimately help make people and society safer.

We develop market leading software solutions which are critical for our customer's operations, so the focus is on configurability, functionality, performance and reliability. We work closely with our customers and are driven by a strong end-user focus. We adopt an Agile methodology and we aim to constantly develop and work with the latest technology.

Your role will include:

Co-ordinate and execute testing (creating and executing test cases, logging defects etc.)
*

Support Project Manager and Product Owner to ensure adequate end-to-end testing before deployment to customer sites
*

Investigate and resolve identified problems, bugs or similar with SAFE deployments
*

Develop and configure solutions for customers (enablement of SAFE features, integrations to external services/products etc.)
*

Deploy SAFE solutions, and integrations at customer sites
*

Develop demonstrations of SAFE configurations for different customer groups, segments

Your profile

To be successful in this role you need:

*

Solid understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle and Software Quality Assurance
*

Knowledge and experience of Agile methodologies, including Scrum.
*

Strong experience of functional and non-functional testing
*

Experience of managing, configuring and/or developing applications and integrations
*

Good communications skills

Desirable skills:

*

Experience of Testrail and/or Atlassian tools
*

SQA relevant qualification
*

Basic development experience/skills
*

C#/.NET experience / skills

This position requires that you pass a security vetting based on the current regulations around/of security protection. For positions requiring security clearance additional obligations on citizenship may apply.
