Westermo is looking for a Software Development Manager
Our 2015 recruitment investments has paid off substantially with nine new aspirational persons who have already joined us. Therefore we are looking for a Software Development Manager to help us lead and develop the team. The entire R&D is located in Sweden.
The software development team comprises of 18 highly competent and dedicated employees. The team is responsible for the development and maintenance of our own successful software products WeOS, WeConfig and WeConnect. We integrate our proprietary source code base with a vast number of Open Source packages.
As a manager, you drive continuous improvements and take responsibility for the development of your personnel. The road map for our products is developed together with the R&D managers and the Product Managers. Customer software requests are managed together with the Software Solutions Manager where you are an integral part of providing a base for tenders and decision making. Sometimes you also contribute as a Project Manager for smaller projects.
Qualifications
• B.Sc. in Engineering, preferably with software focus.
• Good communication skills both verbal and in writing in Swedish and English.
• Previous work as a Software Manager or Project Manager for complex projects.
• Multiple years of experience with Agile development, Scrum and embedded development.
• Experience from industrial products with both software and hardware development.
• It is meritorious if you have experience from companies larger than Westermo and multiple years of Embedded Linux development, .Net development and Network communication technologies.
