Information about the position

You will belong to a group of 22 colleagues, their developers are inhouse and you will follow one of the senior DevOps engineer who will be your mentor during your first time.

The team works agile and are responsible for a platform at the heart of the organization, making sure that sales and maintenance is possible. The platform is currently an on-prem based solution and they are soon moving into a new cloud and AWS-based system that will be deployed globally. The new system will provide the end-users with a variety of opportunities such as the possibility to order products, plan maintenance, perform digital protocols and to visualize spare parts. 

Job duties

Some of your tasks and responsibilities will be to:

• Handle parallel activities as they have parallel editions and do releases every three weeks
• Participate in ongoing improvement activities within configuration management
• Work with some procedures that requires troubleshooting
• Update and improve processes for the construction chain
• Monitoring our services and products
• Work and communicate in a structured way by breaking down and setting up services - e.g. which repositories / pipelines are needed and how they are connected

We are looking for you who have

• Knowledge in programming languages such as Java, create script and Jenkins.
• A Master/bachelor´s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related field of study 
• You are fluent in written and spoken English

It is a great merit if you have relevant experience of DevOps-based development and configuring services such as Python, Perl, Powershell and Bash.

It´s important to be self-going and to share your knowledge and ideas. As a member of this team it is also important to be able to handle parallel activities and managing unexpected circumstances. They win and succeed as a team and you are of course a communicative team player who is curious to learn new techniques and skills.

Information about the job

Professionals Nord is looking for a Jr DevOps Engineer on behalf of our client. You will work as a consultant via our staffing business for the first 12 months. If the collaboration has worked well, you then have good opportunities for continued employment directly with the client company.
