Joined forces with DevSkills
We are beyond excited about the fact that Alva has recently acquired DevSkills (https://hubs.ly/Q01pjPKQ0), a Stockholm-based coding test creator for evaluating developers' technical competence. This collaborative move will enable our customers to access DevSkills’ coding tests through the platform, strengthening our product offering as a digital recruitment tool. Together with DevSkills, we are committed to prioritizing candidate experience with user-friendly assessments, helping candidates find the job that’s right for them. This brings us one step closer to fulfilling our ambition of becoming an end-to-end solution for recruitment.

The role
To make this happen, we are now looking for a Senior Product Designer to take lead on the merge of Alva and DevSkills.

Design is not just part of Alva. It’s baked into every step of the way how we build our products and services. Our team of Designers bridges science and engineering into elegant solutions and easy-to-use products. For us, Designers are able to identify the right problems, evaluate and come up with the right solutions, and articulate ways to build the right thing.

In your day-to-day work you will:

- Work in a highly collaborative fashion with Product Managers, Engineers, Data Scientists, sales teams, and customer success managers to define both long-term strategy and short-term tactics.

- Be autonomous by taking full ownership of your work. You’ll be responsible for every detail, every step of the way, from whiteboard sketching to high-fidelity build specifications.

- Rapidly produce multiple concepts and workflows, understanding when deeper exploration is warranted and when it is best to change paths and try another approach.

- Take into account existing insights, technical constraints, business needs, and specific platform demand to produce data-informed solutions.

- Contribute to product growth through experimentation and optimization of existing user journeys.

- Participate in design reviews and share your work regularly with the design and leadership teams.

You
This time around, we are looking for a Senior Product Designer that has a solid track record of working with design systems and launching products. B2C, B2B, or agency, don’t really matter, as long as you are proficient in user research techniques, interaction design, visual design, and usability testing.

To be a successful candidate, you:

- Have extensive work experience as a Product Designer, UI/UX Designer, and/or Visual Designer.

- Can comfortability execute with core design skill sets: visual design, prototyping, interaction design, and information architecture.

- Are skilled in explaining your work, process, and decisions to cross-functional stakeholders and crave feedback to help you produce your best work.

- Are comfortable with ambiguity and whitespace and have a track record of finding opportunities few others can.

- Thrive in collaborating with other designers and partnering with product managers, engineers, and researchers.

We are based in central Stockholm - but apply a hybrid remote work setup - with a collective and extensive experience in building and growing tech companies, psychology, psychometrics, data science, engineering, and product design.
