DevOps Engineer

We are scaling up Waypoint, If’s largest digital investment; a digital platform built from scratch. A common platform for all services and business areas built on modern technology. Waypoint is If’s new digital insurance platform for the future, involving 200 employees working together in 15 cross-functional development teams in the Nordics and Latvia. Every single day, the focus is on finding smarter solutions for us and our customers.

We are currently looking for a highly qualified and motivated DevOps engineer to work within our Waypoint team.

About the role

As a DevOps engineer you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining DevOps solutions for our development environment. Our applications are built in .NET, and we are currently in the middle of an Azure cloud migration. In this role you can expect to work with provisioning and configuring virtual machines and other virtual hosts. You will create and maintain containers for development, test, and production. You will also be responsible for provisioning and distribution of certificates, keys and others required for integration of components in Azure.

About the team

You will be an important member of an existing team of 12 competent and committed colleagues who collaborate daily with the mindset of working together to ensure knowledge transfer, high quality, and transparency in technical decisions. The team consists of tech lead, technical architects, solution architects, DBA and operation engineers that work in a close collaboration with the business. Together you will manage the infrastructure and support team towards the application teams.

You also have:

• Completed a relevant education at bachelor's level or higher
• Acquired 5 or more years of experience with some types of DevOps tooling, preferably in a cloud environment where you understand the challenges of the cloud
• Knowledge of CI/CD tools, Azure and development
• Ability to adapt quickly to new challenges and thrive in Agile work environments
• Good written and verbal communication skills in English
