Software Developer - Software in the Loop (SIL)

Are you the software developer that we are looking for?

At the Software Test group, we are responsible for developing Scania’s Software In the Loop (SIL) platform environment to simulate our digital driver workplace. The final product of our group will be a state-of-the-art simulation platform for all Scania-developed embedded software, where not only the mechatronic hardware and the environmental surroundings are simulated, but also the embedded software itself is executed. The simulation environment will be used both for the developers and also the test group/DevOps team.

Your work assignments

In this role, you will get the opportunity to work on the big picture, and at the same time have the ability to dive into details.

• Develop solutions and software for the simulation environment
• Having a high interaction within our team as well as with our many users within the embedded software community at Scania
• Gain a broad understanding of most of Scania’s vehicle systems and functions
• Develop tools
• Software models of hardware
• Various tasks to enable target code to run on a PC and possibly to integrate it with other Scania test frameworks.

Your profile

We are looking for a person with good communication skills and the ability to enthusiasm the team to find creative solutions.

Most likely, you have a few years of experience as an Embedded Developer and have worked with simulation models and relevant software tools. You are experienced in software development with C/C++ and Python. Prior experience in automated test systems, SIL, Linux, and/or other types of simulation environments is an advantage.

You probably have a B.Sc. or M.Sc in the fields of embedded systems, mechatronics, computer science, electronics, or similar.
