Pelagicore is committed to bringing stunning user experience to the road through the use of open source software, Qt and automotive expertise. We are looking for software engineers with a genuine interest in developing software on a Linux and Open Source based platform using C/C++ and Qt in the automotive industry. You will have the opportunity to work on both product development and customer projects delivery.
What will you get to do?
- Develop and maintain our Yocto-based Linux distribution
- Work with automotive-specific technologies, such as FRANCA IDL, CommonAPI and AUTOSAR
- Develop and maintain Linux device drivers for automotive hardware
- Work with and develop our in-house automotive middleware
- Contribute to open source software
- Become an important member of one of our agile development teams
What are we looking for?
You are a driven and dedicated team player that collaborates well across teams and has good communication skills. As a software engineer in our team you should have a positive attitude, be independent, have good leadership skills, you should be unpretentious and find it easy to create good relationships with your co-workers and our clients. You prefer to work in a structured way following agile development principles. You also enjoy working in Open Source projects.
We believe the you have the following qualifications and experience:
- You are comfortable in a Linux user space environment
- You have experience using C and C++
- You have experience using Git and related tools
- You posses knowledge about agile development principles
- You posses excellent communication skills, including fluent in English
- You probably have a Master’s degree in Computing Science or similar
Do you have an extra edge over other candidates?
If you have experience in any of the following, you are likely to be even more qualified:
- Linux kernel development
- Advanced understanding of Yocto, Bash, Yocto, Qt, D-Bus, Wayland, Franca/IDL, GENIVI, Jenkins, Doxygen, Eclipse & AUTOSAR
- Experience from contribution to Open Source projects
- Experience from automotive
