Data Scientist

We believe that our future success will be based on our ability to leverage the large amounts of data generated on our platform every day. We need the ability to gain fast insights from usage of our services to enable short cycles of product refinement and be able to develop new data-driven services based on all of our data.

During 2020 we began migrating our backend services to the Google Cloud Platform (GCP) with the ambition of being one of the few banks with cloud-based services in a highly regulated industry. During 2021 we started to build our next generation data & analytics environment on top of that and also on GCP.

The role is part of a relatively newly formed team consisting of data engineering, business intelligence and data science competence responsible for the new environment, spanning from data pipelines to dashboards to data-driven services.

As a Data Scientist your focus will be to develop, implement and maintain different types of data-driven services. The primary purpose with a data-driven service is to personalise the customer experience in the app or web but a service might also contribute to one of our other strategic goals.

We believe the value with a data-driven service or model is realised when successfully deployed to production. Hence we look for a candidate who appreciates writing high quality software together with data engineers and/or software engineers.

You are passionate about data and learning new things, and you want to contribute with your experience and passion. In your work, you are organised, methodical and agile in a way that benefits the team’s working climate and ability to deliver high quality solutions.

As a Data Scientist we believe that most of the following characteristics describes you:

- Excellent programming skills in Python.
- Great SQL skills and experience working with large data sets.
- Good understanding of data engineering practices and data modelling.
- Experience from Machine Learning frameworks and developing end-to-end projects in production.
- Experience from working in a cloud environment, preferably GCP.
- Hold a BA degree or equivalent in engineering, computational or technical subject.
