The robotics market is growing fast! To support an increased customer demand, we need to extend our software team within the IO-area at ABB Robotics in Västerås. The team is responsible for industrial Ethernet networks and traditional fieldbus networks in our industrial robot controller. Together with our customers in automotive and electronics industries, we put ABB at the forefront of advanced and high-tech robot software.

Your responsibilities

• You will work in an agile team of Software Developers to continuously deliver on new product objectives.
• Develop time-critical embedded software for the next generation of industrial networks and fieldbuses.
• You will be working primarily backend with C / C ++ and be an important part in the development of our future products, but also knowledge in C# is important for collaboration with our frontend team.
• Be part of the entire development cycle, ie design, implementation, testing and delivery.
• Collaborate with other Software Engineers, Electronics Engineer, User Experience experts, Product Owners and other stakeholders in the unit, taking on learnings and opportunities that will arise every single day.

Your background

• You have a master's degree with a background in software development from your studies and previous work.
• You are experienced of working with real time systems with limited resources or other systems with high demands for robust performance.
• As a software developer you have strong experience in C, C++ and basic knowledge in C#.
• Experience in Ethernet-based fieldbuses (PROFINET, EtherNet/IP, CC-Link and EtherCAT) is considered qualifying.
• You are a team player with a positive mindset who enjoys sharing knowledge and ideas.
• You like to challenge your abilities and enjoy having a lot of responsibility.
• Fluency in Swedish and English, written and spoken alike.
