Avaus is transforming the consulting industry by combining the best of SaaS and consulting. In the core of our technology, is the Avaus Factory component library, our internal product, which enables our customer delivery teams to solve complex customer issues in data, algo and marketing activation like no-one else can. We’re refactoring our architecture to build the next generation of our Factory ( (https://www.avaus.com/avaus-factory/)) and we need your contribution to ship it.

As a Cloud Developer you will be responsible for spearheading the development and planning of the next generation Avaus Factory component library. Component library is a combination of individual components that work in event-driven microservice-architecture. We build it for our in-house data and engineering teams to ship world-class data & ML solutions to some of the most well known companies in Northern Europe.

We offer a competitive salary, likely in the range of 3 000€ and 5 000€, depending on your experience and other relevant factors. Plus benefits.

In your work, you will:

- Work from home, in hybrid, or at our Office in Gdansk. To us, results and attitude matter more than the geolocation of your keyboard.
- Design and develop microservices and APIs, that help our data engineers and data scientists to deliver cutting-edge end-customer solutions in Data, ML and Marketing Activation.
- Design, plan and develop the systems, databases and pipelines.
- Support our team in defining the product vision and roadmap
- Share knowledge and best practices to secure high level of knowledge throughout the company within your area of expertise
- Ensure the scalability of the technical components developed
- Plan and ensure secure and scalable solution design, with a privacy first approach
- Get to work with some of the best professionals in the industry and learn from data management, ML, Algorithms and and Marketing & Sales activation.
- Have a lot of responsibility, freedom to choose your own ways of work and accountability in the form of taking ownership and committing to the goals we set together.

What’s the tech stack (but not limited to):

- Scripting and programming inPython, JavaScript
- Cloud Platform and cloud native services on GCP
- Configuration and shipping infrastructure-as-a-code in Terraform and Docker
- Designing and delivering database and storage solutions in Cloud Storage, BigQuery & SQL)
- Sprint planning, version control and delivery with GitHub and Github Actions
- Work management & collaboration in Monday.com & Slack

The more you already know of these the better. For the rest we hope you would be interested in learning or recommending us with more suitable alternatives.

Most likely you already have:

- At least 2 years of relevant work experience
- Hands-on cloud developer experience with good programming skills
- Service oriented architecture mindset and some experience with building REST APIs, microservice based architectures and event driven architectures
- Public cloud experience on GCP, AWS and/or Azure, with serverless and PaaS experience.
- Experience with implementing or using CI/CD pipelines
- Fluent communication skills in English
