Role Overview

We are looking for an Engineering Tool Developer who will support our Methods and Tools team in the development, implementation and maintenance of software solutions, APIs and automation scripts. You will work in the engineering methods & tools section, reporting to the Head of Central Engineering Functions & Integration.

The work will include:

Investigation into the needs and opportunities for automation of our design organisation

Develop, implement and maintain software solutions for the connection between different databases and engineering tools, e.g. PLM, ERP or requirements management systems

Develop, implement and maintain automation routines in the form of scripts, plugins and macros for different engineering tools

-
Develop, implement and maintain the Heart Aerospace in-house software development

-
Develop and maintain training materials

Qualifications & Experience

-
BSc degree in Software, IT or Engineering

-
5 years experience with database and code development in work or study environment

-
Expertise in one or several programming or scripting languages (e.g. Python, Java, Javascript, VBA)

-
Knowledge about database structures and APIs (e.g. REST)

-
Knowledge of MS Office and Sharepoint APIs and automation tools

-
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English

-
Eagerness to work with others

-
Passion for aircraft and Heart’s mission

-
Experience in test-based software development

The ideal candidate would have

Experience in the aviation industry

Experience in enterprise architecture development and information modeling

Experience in development, implementation and maintenance of software packages

Knowledge of PLM systems (3DExperience)

Experience with CAD and CAD automation (in CATIA)

Experience in CI/CD and agile development

Experience with IT security
